I am Beautiful {My Beauty Campaign}

As I mentioned in my post the other day. I am starting to offer My Beauty Campaign sessions. As a part of the process of becoming an official My Beauty Campaign photographer, each photographer has to have her own Beauty Session done. Well, I just had my session done on Sunday. What a fantastic experience! Now I know what it really feels like to be on the other end of the camera! My friend Vanessa Villagrana (owner of Lil' Sweet Prince Photocards) took the photos for me. Here is the sneak peek of my session that she sent to me. I will post more about the session and my experience once she is done editing and I have a few more minutes to write a full-length post. The Fog is Lifting

This picture captures what I've felt over the past few days:

It's been foggy, mostly ugly the past couple of weeks and had I not had my heart open the morning I took this photo I would have missed the beauty in it. Yes, things didn't look so good at first, but now the sun is breaking through and the fog is starting to lift. God is every where we look - we just have to keep our hearts and minds open to see Him.

If I had not had the experience of the last few weeks I may not have seen the beauty of it all.  I am not in control, God is.  He knows when the right time will be.  He knows what is important for me to see now.  I can only take one step at a time and trust Him.   All will be revealed in His time.

Aubrey's First Birthday {Lemoore Child Photography}

Aubrey is just six days younger than my son. She is the beautiful granddaughter of one of my co-workers. Joseph had a wonderful time at the birthday party, despite having a "spat" with his little girlfriend. Hahaha. I had a great time photographing the event. I will post more photos soon - life is hectic as always.

I'm Baaack! Wow! I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted. Life has been non-stop, but it is only going to continue now that my son is almost a year old and crawling all over the place. Well, it is about time that I post some more photos, so I won't waste any time blabbing. Here are some of my favorites over the past few months. I hope you enjoy!

Finding the Joy

Wow! I did not realize how long it had been since I posted. Life has been wonderfully busy. Between work, my son, and photo sessions I guess I lost track of my last blog post. As a part of my journey to becoming a better photographer it seemed that I was not getting as many photographs of my Joy, my son - Joseph. So, in order to be able to document his life & the things that are important to me, him, and what I want us to remember in the future I joined a photography "class" in Finding the Joy. So far I am behind, as it always seems I am trying to catch up on things, but I look forward to all the assignments that are to come. As I go through this journey I will do my best to post my favorite photos from each week. We are currently on week 3, so I have some catching up to do!

I was just reading through the first two assignments and Week Two is {places}, and I think I actually got a really cute shot of my son in his crib that would meet the guidelines for the week. So, here it is:
